Finishing

Alright! Now a month later I got 2 pieces that I'm happy with, one digital and one in acrylics. 
The mail is sent to the jury and now I will just wait and see if they pick my paintings. 

There will be more post to come with new paintings and updates. 

Here is my acrylic painting done.

Painting light

Now I have started painting in the light and how it bounces around in the cave. Time is ticking, only a week left to the finish date.

Purple Haze.

The over all painting is going to be warm so I'm starting with a purple cold underpainting to later build the warmth upon. This will hopefully create a lot of vibration in the colors at the end stage.

The woods.

Journey

This is the first polished piece for the competition. I will continue doing some tests before choosing witch one I'm going to paint in acrylics. I will probably start with that some time next week so I can finish it. 

Colors

I got some compositions that I like from the thumbnails. So now I will try some different colors and moods.

Continuing with thumbnails, some artist do 100 for each finished illustration. So this is a start.

Step one.

Starting with some composition, to make sure that the big picture is going to work.
To paint more efficiently I'am working in the same dimensions as my real canvas but in Photoshop.
This lets me work with speed and I can do big changes in a heartbeat.
The black and white is from imagination and the color is from watching some game play wile painting.

The beginning.

It all starts with a blank canvas, filled with opportunity and endless possibilities.
This canvas will be transformed to my application for a art competition.

I will blog about my process, and the steps I take towards the finish line.
